  1999. Clear ruby red with long seductive legs. Nose of purple fruits, forest floor, vanilla, a little oak, cherry, incense, fresh spring floral, a bit of cigar. Palate, medium bodied, soft texture, round, truffle, blackberry, cassis, earth, tobacco. Still need time. With time, leather, truffle and round tannins adding a beautiful weight to the structure.   Chateau Leoville Barton 1994

  Ruby red with Browning on the rim. Medium to full body. Soft red fruit, forest floor, glycerin, tobacco leaf, violet. Can still taste the tannins, but well integrated and soft, bring a layer of chewiness. Dried leather, wet wood, cocoa powder, pencil.shaving, bit of mushroom. Soothing on the nose, gentle on the palate. Wonderful treat. Tasty tannins making it felt, with just enough acidity to keep it balanced, nice.
