- Just hot, very well known, high alcohol, just good. Japan $6.50
- Ok in a pinch. Don't serve to someone who has never had sake before. Clean but raw
- Trying heated. Quite dry. Not much complexity. 2.5 stars.
- Not strictly on the "old grapes" list, plum gekkeikan is more like a desert wine than a sake. It has a rusty color, and would pair well with spicy pasta or Thai food.
- Tasted kind of like beer, but not too bad.
