Chateau Monbousquet 2003 Cru

Gentle smell of black berries, chili, lavender, fresh grass, a hint of fresh tomato, ham. Medium to full bodied with dark ruby/purple color. On the palate, okay, taste of strong tobacco, mint, forest floor, slightly strong tannin in the middle, not really silky. Decent finish, lasting 20 sec. Wonderful

Dark purple hue, nose of ripe black fruits currants, sugar coated cherry, violets, licorice, truffle, wet wood. Taste of ripe black fruits, cigar wrapper, jam, expresso bean. Finish with plum, light tobacco leaf. Tiny bit of heat, medium finish. Bit one dimension, not complex enough, smooth, easy on the palate. Expand deliciously, with strong currants and cream bulee. Solid dark core with ruby red rim. Enchanting nose with great terroir scents, graphite, black currants, autumn leaf, hint of green, magnetic feel. Masculine mouth feel, good balance as always. Dry leather, sweet red fruits, pipe tobacco, stone, minerals. Tannins a bit dry and edgy, can still age. Good finish of cigar box, dried fruits.

Clear ruby red. Ripe berries, espresso bean, incense, mushroom, mint and some oak. Medium bodied, soft, plush mouth feel, black fruits, forest floor, concentrated plum juice. Soft tannins, noticeable, but round and well integrated. Some bitter cocoa bean in the back end, smoke, oak, red cherry finish. Medium finish. Still quite fruity, fwd, but pleasant

Young, dark core with ruby rim. Medium plus bodies. Fresh, energetic aromas of purple fruits, flowers, sweet ripe currants, licorice, oak, mint, incense, crushed tobacco leaf. Very nice. Plum sauce, tobacco, licorice, blackberry, forest floor, orange zest. A bit tight, coaxing for aromas. On the palate, muddy notes. Wall of tannins, somewhat dry and edgy, not very smooth or balanced. Explosive tannins, firm Sense of bitterness towards the back end, not very enjoyable. Strong, masculine structure, unyielding
