Dark brick red color, with slight browning near the rim. Nice bouquet of ripe cherries, violet, burnt leather, chili spice, graphite, coffee bean. Medium bodied, dark chocolate, jam, tobacco, tea leaf, tannins have soften, yet giving just a good touch to the mouth feel. Very smooth, pure on the palate, nice length on the finish.

Bright Rudy red, almost purple color, all the way to the rim. Medium bodied with nose of wet nose, minerals, fresh berries, cigar box. Strong firm mid palate

Not properly stored, broken cork. Look of a 30 year's old wine, dark brick red. Not very aromatic, Smell of smoked cherry, old leather, licorice, espresso bean, a slight nite of menthol. Light and simple on palate, with black currants, light cigar ash, chopped wood, wet earth and oak, bitter chocolate. Short to medium finish with smoke, tobacco, with soft tannin but not very ripe. Overall structure is thin. 88 pt

Aerated for four hours, no decanting. Dark crimson color, medium bodied. Seductive aromatics of black fruits, freshly picked berries, truffle and mocha and florals, quite feminine, like a lady throwing u smile type. Taste is a bit lighter, with cherry, plum, jasmine tea leaf, tasty but firm tannins, and smoky finish of tobacco. Finish a bit short. After close to six hours with air, beautiful bouquet, layers of flowers, and on palate sweetness of berry is enticing

Purple, dark ruby, medium bodied. Nose of violet, bacon fat, mushroom, leather, vanilla, good nose, with layers of black fruits. Licorice, wet earth, truffle, wood, spice. Tannins seem to have softened quite well, soft and smooth on the palate. Short finishing though.

Dark Rudy red, opaque, full bodied. Rich nose of wet earth, graphite, leather, lead pencil. Feeling the finish down the throat. Soft, plush, lush on the palate, same notes on taste with layers of spring floral and fruits, licorice, with traces of oak and smoked ham, very balanced and smooth. A little heated finish, good depth.

Purple color, opaque, full body hulk. Nose of butter, licorice, crushed sugar, raspberry, bacon. Still tight. Need a bit more aeration. Aired for over two hours, more revealing. Taste of blackberry, leather, iron, cigar box. Silky, lush on the palate, though good finish, about 30+ secs with plum and tobacco. Still tannic but chewy, can wait some more time to add more complexity. Nose is fatter than on the palate. Add some tobacco, blueberry, black fruits, licorice. After 3-4 hours, sweet tannin, quite well integrated. delicious

Nose of iron, licorice, vanilla, black currant, blueberry, fresh florals, hint of mint and tomato, closed but seductive aromas. Dark dark ruby color, medium to full bodied. Aerated for over an hour, poured into glass and sat for another 30 mins, doesn't seem wanting to reveal too much. Earth, licorice, cherry, rather firm tannin showing near the mid palate, nicely balanced with tobacco, black fruit finishing. More showing after a long evening, smell of violet, plum, licorice, chewy, velvety palate, still young it seems. Won't be a spectacular wine, but a nice drinking experience nevertheless.

Quite a nice nose, with creme, black cherry, licorice, grass, caramel, yet a hint alcohol towards the end. Almost a salty first attack, licorice, red cherry, oak, orange, hint of mint and bacon. Quite well structured, with acidity, tannin has softened already, should be drunk now. High alcohol isn't overpowering, decent finishing. Rudy red with a slight browning on the rim.
  • La Joya Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 one year ago La Joya Cabernet Sauvignon 2010
Smell of sweet chili, salted caramel, cream brulee, sour apple, cigar, vanilla, gruava, short nose. Taste of tobacco, vanilla, spice, mushroom. Good tannin, not too hard. Dark red, opaque color, close to full body. As a pure cabs, quite easy on the palate, not too powerful, decent silky finish, with a bit of heat. Decent length on finishing. Seems not really build to last, fruit taste vanished rather quickly.
  • Chateau Daugay Saint Emilion Grand Cru 2005 one year ago Chateau Daugay Saint Emilion Grand Cru 2005
Nose of sugar cane, cream bulee, grass, licorice, a bit short, and the high liquor smell a bit overpowering. Medium bodied, ruby red, though light on the rim. Quite Soft on the palate, with fine tannin in the mid section, red plum, tobacco, coffee, acidity, minerals, high alcohol feel.
  • Chateau Pontet Canet 2003 one year ago Chateau Pontet Canet 2003
Opened and drank over the next 3 hours. Very dark ruby color, full bodied, sexy. Fresh oak on the nose, chocolate, fresh grass, mint, vanilla, hint of chili, spices and bacon. Soft on the palate, black currants, sweet berries, a bit oakey, tannic yet overall structure is superb and well balanced. There's a little reservation in the wine, and finish is moderate, 20-30 seconds. The wine evolved brilliantly over the course of the night, gained some weight, and chewy, what a treat.

Sexy, midnight dark color, close to full body, slow yet beautiful tears in the rim. Attractive floral, berries, cream, spice, with a hint of mint and vanilla on the nose, beautiful. Taste of tobacco, crushed sugar, lead pencil, bacon, so rich! Finish last for over 30 sec, brilliant. Strong tannin, yet beautifully balanced, can age and be fantastic over the next 10-15 years! In love with it.

Dark dark ruby color, almost full bodied with attractive tears on the rim. Brilliant nose of ripe fruits, black berries, floral, lavender, green pepper, a hint of mint and meaty. Sweet ripe berry taste exploded on the palate, lead pencil, wood, strong tannin, but good balance and structure. Beautiful, and it can cellar and get better and better. Beautiful 2003 from St Estephe =)

Appear still to be a young wine, dark dark ruby color, almost opulent, medium to full bodied, with nice looking tears. On the nose, black currants, spice, bit of fresh oak, very interesting given a ten year old. Taste of blueberry, tobacco, cedar, tannin is still quite strong, though very tasting. This wine can still age and gets even better. Brilliant!

Gentle smell of black berries, chili, lavender, fresh grass, a hint of fresh tomato, ham. Medium to full bodied with dark ruby/purple color. On the palate, okay, taste of strong tobacco, mint, forest floor, slightly strong tannin in the middle, not really silky. Decent finish, lasting 20 sec. Wonderful

My first own bottle KF 2008. Splendid! On the nose, blackberries, mint, spice. Medium to full bodied. Smooth, velvety kn the palate, as how I remember from the first time I tasted it. What a treat! With the bottle aerated for over an hour, aroma changed a bit, with lavender, creamy butter, vanilla, crushed sugar, very gentle. On the palate, taste has opened up as well stronger flavor, masculine , with a hint of graphite, great finish with tobacco, cherry, finishing last for 20 sec. This wine is so easy on the palate, silky, even ladies would find it so easy to drink and keep asking for more. Brilliant!

Nice bouquet, with smell of berry, grass and vanilla. On palate, tannin just a bit tight. In the glass for an hour, not a whole lot happening, and stayed at that afterward. Perhaps a second wine from 2002 is not that great afterall.
  • Silverado Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 one year ago Silverado Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2007
Full bodied. Not a strong aroma out of the bottle. With swirling, smell of berry, lead, mushroom and tobacco on the nose. On palate, velvety, smooth, tannin seems to have soften well, with just a bit of hardness towards the end. Quite nice & easy to drink.

Great taste of the first 2003. With one hour in the glass, bouquet and fruit taste comes out deliciously.
