    Galah Wine Clare Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 1999. Spice, cedarwood, raspberry, cassis, earthy, barnyard hints, forest floor, dried hay, dark notes - liquorice? Firm, fine grained tannins. Fresh citrussy acid. Still lively & fresh. Delicious.

    Tyrrells Vat 6 Hunter Pinot Noir 2010. Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia. Light, translucent colour. Sour cherry, rhubarb, strawberry, raspberry. Sappy, fresh, live, young. Spice, hints of earthiness. Hint of greenness/herbaceous notes on the nose. Elegant. Didn't know they could do such good pinot in the Hunter Valley... would have assumed it'd be too warm.

Structured. Fresh citrusy acid. Good, everyday Burgundy. Drank over two nights - seemed to have fallen apart on the second night.

Red berries, rosehip, cedary oak, spice, forest floor, earthy, soy sauce, mint, hint of capsicum. Smooth tannins still present - slightly drying. Acid moderate but still fresh. V. long & complex. Med bodied.
