Perfect wine for Halloween...

My first bottle of real red burgundy. So different from what I'm used to. Very interesting. More light bodied than I expected. Strong sour cherry but not in that fruit bomb kind of way. I can see how this would pair so much better with food than the Cali and Aust wines I like. So far Bourgogne has been much more impressive than the Bordeaux I have tried.

"Petite Petit" 2010 by Micheal David. 85% petite sirah 15% petit verdot Beautiful black wine...perhaps the darkest wine I've ever seen. Nice burnt sugar/oak smell. Smooth, delicious wine. Love the fun label. Definitely worth the 16.99 I paid. 8 points - $16.99

It's a punch in the face. The 14% alcohol comes flying though. Drinks sort of like a port without any sweetness. I like this wine though...it's fun to drink on its own. 6 points - $ 13

I admit I bought this for the label. It's a razberry cherry fruit bomb. Alcohol comes through strong but I really like this wine. Then again I rarely find a Zin I don't like. $10 - 6 points

Excellent white blend. Just enough sweetness with a fresh maybe pineapple taste. Reminds me of a $30 Pinot Blanc I once had. Probable my favorite Texas white. $14 - 8 points

Wanted to try a rhone without spending alot. Ok. Very dry as expected. - $11 - 5 points.
