Roy and Diana brought this wine to dinner tonight. Wine of Sicily. Fruity - red berries and cranberry. Got it at Western for $9.99 - very nice for the price.

Bearboat Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley, 2006. Alcohol 13.5%. Roy + Diana brought to dinner, July 2011, before heading to Italy for 5 months.. Nose of warm toast and cassis, mouth of fresh strawberries and raspberries, suggestions of black licorice at finish.

MEIOMI (May-OH-mee) Pinot Noir, Vintage 2010. 13.8% alcohol. Bought Valentines Day 2012 at V Richards, for $18.99. I was looking for a new Cab to go with our VDay ribeye. Wine guy stirred me to this Pinot, saying it drank more like a Cab - and it was on a great sale. Per label, a layered blend of "Santa Barbara's spice-filled aromas (23%), Sonoma's bright berry flavors (20%), and Monterey's rich textures (57%)."
